    Thanks @nathan. Solid on the module API- that’s exactly what I was hoping for. And I’m looking at Affiliate WP. Maybe we can build the MVP of that integration as a module and contribute it back to the community. Will report back here on however we proceed next weekend via the Charity Makeover effort. cheers

    yea IMO a Zapier integration makes a ton of sense for you guys to consider. It gets you interoperability with all the systems they currently integrate with, not to mention a visibility/distribution benefit by being listed in their integration library.

    Our specific use case right now is the need to pull order/product info from Ignition Deck and supplement the contact record in ActiveCampaign so we can do the personalized emails we want to do to donors. In absence of the Zap I’m going to either get Pagely to enable the Zapier MySQL connector and run this SQL query:

    SELECT pay.email, pay.prod_price, pro.product_name, pro.product_image, pro.ign_product_title, pro.goal FROM wp_ign_pay_info AS pay, wp_ign_products AS pro WHERE pay.product_id = pro.id AND pay.email='email@domain.com' Order by pay.created_at DESC LIMIT 1

    Or I’m going to have my dev guy write a little webservice that allows me to retrieve that same info.

    The other thing we’re likely going to do is add a “ParentID” field to the Orders table, cookie the value for ?ParentID=X if it ever exists in the query string and log that at the time the donation is placed. That will allow us to run the leaderboard referral contest we have in mind to jumpstart things. I was hoping there was already an affiliate tracking add-on built that would enable this but I haven’t found it. Just the ShareASale integration which does us no good unfortunately since we’re not selling products and don’t want the overhead of that system.

    @nathan- thanks for the clarification. bummer as that functionality will be key for us going forward and we’re anything but an Enterprise client… is there any chance of this feature making its way into the standard product? I would think having the ability to run cards on funded projects is the desired behavior for any client regardless of type…

    If we have to purchase the enterprise license to obtain this functionality can you guys credit the amt of the plugins I’ve purchased thus far as I see those are all included in the Enterprise product? thx

    @TMJ- thx for your tip. It wasn’t the fix but it led me to it. For the record I went to Settings > Reading > Static page and switched it to the page that has the Fundify Homepage template and then the Hero Unit tab magically appeared in the customization screen. We’ve got our homepage currently routed to a landing page temporarily while we’re in private beta so I just quick switched it, set the text then switched it back.

    The other issue we encountered though is that it doesn’t pull the live projects on our homepage. It does properly do so on the /projects page but on the homepage it pulls neither for the grid behind the main headline nor the deck results below. Any ideas of what could be going on there? Presumably the queries that generate the results are different in each spot…

    Fellas, disregard this. I found the answer in the documentation here for Fundify theme under Create Pages > Homepage.
    Re: the other issue with the edit link going to my dashboard instead of the project edit page- I realized I can just use the edit link in the WordPress bar that appears for logged in users so I’m set there as well. thx

    It seems that upon trying to edit the test campaign, the edit link takes me to my dashboard instead of an edit screen for the campaign. thx

    Andrew, thx. will look at those links for extending the IDCF plugins as the way to accomplish this cleanly.

    Do you by chance have any suggestion re: a tutorial or best practices doc on how to develop, stage and deploy with this stack (WordPress core, IDCF, Fundify theme, our plugins) while retaining user data that accumulates on the production server? I know how we used to handle this when it was a custom piece of software b/c the data, code and config settings were all cleanly partitioned. With WP it seems like everything is mashed together.

    We have a clean environment on our new server at Digital Ocean now and I’m just trying to set this up right from the start. I realize this is beyond the scope of the IDCF forums but I’ve been reading all kinds of blog posts from people on different ways of handling this and I’m just curious of how you guys approach it since you seem to have a pretty legit setup.

    Nathan, you might look at the UX of how WP Supercache plugin handles this on theirs. They require a certain version of PHP and that specific directories be writeable on your server. It’s elegant how it works as it just pops up a notification at the top if you’re not compliant with those prerequisites.

    FYI I bought the Valet service last night. Looking forward to working with your team to get set up. have a good holiday

    Nathan, yes sorry I had posted this before I received your email response last night.
    Confirmed I was able to install cURL and that resolved it.

    For benefit of others who are green with this stuff like I am, I used this answer on Stack Overflow to ssh in and install it on our Ubuntu instance running on Digital Ocean.

    I’m sure you guys have a laundry list of features/bugs but consider adding a dependency check as a part of the install process and throw a warning? I’m sure this is in the docs somewhere but I missed it and I actually read them 😉
