    Carelfin2015,
    You need to create a folder in that directory, /themes/, with a stylesheet as described in the wordpress.org doc above.

    The directory /themes/ wont be accessible via a browser. But you can get to it thru FTP or through your hosting’s ‘file manager’ if they provide one.

    Once the new folder (directory) exists, and contains a stylesheet called style.css with the right comments at the top, as described in the wordpress.org doc above, you will be able to activate your new ‘child theme’ in http://acornaspirations.co.uk/AcornFunder/wp-admin/ > Appearance > Themes

    With FTP or File Manager, go to /AcornFunder/wp-content/themes/ and create a new folder/directory (same thing).
    Call it “acorn” or whatever you want.
    Inside it create a file called style.css
    Edit style.css to include

    /*
     Theme Name:   Acorn Theme
     Template:     fundify

    */

    BTW, the “fundify” part, after “Template:” has to *exactly* match the name of the folder/directory for the “parent” theme, fundify. So make sure of that too.

    If you’ve done this correctly, your new child theme will be available to activate in /wp-admin/ > Appearance > Themes

    Let us know how it goes!

    Charles,
    500 Framework is intended to be a Parent theme for others like Classic (or child themes you build yourself).
    Try installing and activating Classic. It’s worth a shot!
    Also, it looks like you have a broken version of the 500 Framework as well as a working one. Delete the broken one and make sure the one that you leave in place is the newest version of the 500 Framework (1.5.2). I tried deleting the broken one for you, but the WordPress theme manager can’t delete it for some reason. So you will need to delete it through FTP, or your hosting account’s file manager.
    The broken one is missing its style.css file, or at least that’s what WP says.
    Classic needs the 500 Framework to work, but you activate Classic.

    We aren’t going to be around ’til Monday.

    Hope we can get things all sorted out for you!

    Jon,
    Try this.
    In wp-content/themes/fivehundred/archive-ignition_product.php on line 17
    change

    					$query = new WP_Query(array('paged' => $paged, 'posts_per_page' =>9));
    					// Start the loop

    to

    					$posts_per_page = get_option('posts_per_page');
    					$query = new WP_Query(
    						array(
    							'paged' => $paged,
    							'posts_per_page' => (!empty($posts_per_page) ? $posts_per_page : 9)
    						)
    					);
     					// Start the loop

    In wp-content/themes/fivehundred/functions.php on line 333
    change
    add_action('pre_get_posts', 'projects_archive_display');
    to
    //add_action('pre_get_posts', 'projects_archive_display');

    In wp-content/themes/fivehundred/loop-project.php on line 4
    change
    $options = get_option('fivehundred_featured');
    to

    	$options = get_option('fivehundred_featured');
    	$posts_per_page = get_option('posts_per_page');

    In wp-content/themes/fivehundred/loop-project.php on line 12
    change

    	else if (is_archive()) {
    		$project_count = 6;
    	}

    to

    	else if (is_archive()) {
    		$project_count = (!empty($posts_per_page) ? $posts_per_page : 9);
    	}

    To be clear, I would like us to approach the media uploader as a separate issue from the embed code.

    Drew

    Brown,
    What I really think is that there’s two things going on here.

    1. the embed code issue. I think this is a Backer issue.

    2. The dead media uploader buttons. This is a Javascript problem. I see that you have several out-of-date plugins. Any one of these may have a copy of jQuery(a very common Javascript library that is used by WordPress, IgnitioDeck, and probably just about every other plugin and theme, for all sorts of UI stuff) that is in conflict with the current version of jQuery, which can break things like this.

    To rule this out, please update *all* your plugins. Then, if issue persists with the media uploader, try turning off all non-IgnitionDeck plugins. If this fixes the uploader, turn other plugins on one by one, trying the uploader each time.

    You see, WordPress comes with a version of jQuery. So do some plugins and themes. Multiple versions can cause stuff like the uploader button to break.

    Please let us know here if anything is solved with the process above.

    Hope we can get you fixed up.

    Thanks.

    Jason,
    I’ll be around shortly to look into this, but first, can you please address the WooCommerce notification your site has: “Your WooThemes products are almost ready. To get started, activate your product licenses.”

    Before I spend time trying to understand what might be going wrong, I’d like to rule out anything with your WooCommerce setup, since I’m by no means an expert in WooCommerce, and of course, this forum is for IgnitionDeck problems, so I can’t spend time on WooCommerce issues.

    So before moving forward, can you please get the Woo side of things to where it’s not requiring any additional configuration? I’m concerned that the “Name Your Price” add-on you have for WooCommerce may be causing problems, since it appears to activated, but not set up (I think it needs a license).

    Thanks.
    Let me know!

    Brown,
    I just logged in and did several front-end submissions.
    It seems to me that they do fail with a video embed code, but not with a video URL (which still results in an embedded video).

    A lot of people use Backer so I’m surprised we haven’t seen this issue before, but apparently, something odd is going on with Backer.

    So I recommend you contact Krown Themes for support.

    Meanwhile, a workaround may just be to have your project creators use video URLs instead of full embed codes, since this approach seems to work fine.

    Hope that helps.

    Finally, for prosperity’s sake, here are the two errors I get in my console *only* when including a full youtube iframe/embed:

    "NetworkError: 403 Forbidden - https://yoursite.com.au/dashboard/?create_project=1"
    ?create_project=1

    Mixpanel error: Implementation error. Please contact support@mixpanel.com.

    Jackie,
    The number of projects on the homepage, depending on the theme, may be controlled by Settings > Reading (number of blog posts in wordpress)

    This will show the project with the most recent date.

    Then you could use something like “Recent Posts Extended” to show other projects on the Member Dashboard by adding the recent posts extended widget to the Dashboard Sidebar in Appearance > Widgets and using the widget’s settings to filter out only “Projects” and skip the most recent one (offset)
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/recent-posts-widget-extended/

    That’s just off the top of my head.

    Jackie,

    The issue is that products and levels aren’t linked.

    Look at Product/Level Connections in IDC > Crowdfunding:

    I connected a product and level and now I can get to PayPal.

    Glad it was a simple fix.

    Todd,
    My understanding is that, becuase in many cases a project isn’t funded until a goal is reached, it doesn’t make sense to give the project creators access to pledgers’ personal info automatically. This is how Kickstarter works also.

    Todd,
    I asked around and leaerned that at one point in the IgnitionDeck Framework’s history, there was a checkout form builder, but nearly none of our customers used it, so it was decided that it wasn’t worth continuing to to spend development resources on it.

    Anyway, as you noticed, the info displayed on the checkout screen is fixed and is different depending on the theme being used.

    The purpose for the checkout page, is essentially just so you have control over the permalink. The contents of the page are basically totally ignored by the system. It’s similar to haow WordPress’ “blog page” setting works in Settings > Reading. The page is a sort of alias.

    So to do what you want to do, you’d need to modify your theme.

    Hope that helps you.

    Todd,

    If you’re asking how to add content to the Member Dashboard, use Appearance > Widgets and you can put any HTML you want in a “Text” widget in the “DashBoard Sidebar”

    /wp-admin/widgets.php

    For instance, you create an instructions page and put a link to it in HTML form there so your members can find it easily.

    Hope that helps you.

    Jackie,
    Before we go down that route, let’s try temporarily removing the scripts you added and see if everything works.
    If it does, then put them back one at a time until we find the culprit.
    But if removing those doesn’t help, let me know, and I’ll take a look in the morning.
    Let me know.

    I am using the Divi theme but upon switching to another (base wordpress theme) I had the same results.

    Not sure why the update would impact it this way, here is a list of my current plugins, would any of these impact it?

    There’s no way any independent developer of a plugin or theme can know for sure that every other plugin will play nice. There’s just too many plugins out there!

    So what we suggest you try is deactivating all non-IgnitionDeck plugins and if that solves the problem, then you can turn them on one at a time to find which is the culprit.

    That said, I’d be especially suspicious of anything that effects the WYSIWYG or deals with Shortcodes. Elegant Builder and ET Shortcodes stand out at me as suspects, but really *any* plugin could potentially be causing a problem.

    Also, generally with regard to debugging, there are dubugging features you can turn on via WordPress’ wp-config.php file. See:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#Example_wp-config.php_for_Debugging

    Another place to sniff around for errors is in your browser’s web inspector’s Javascript Console. Each browser is a little differnt, but in my favorite inspector, FireBug, a free Firefox extension, you just right-click on the page and select “inspect element with firebug” and then toggle over to the “Console” tab and then the “Errors” sub-tab and refresh the webpage.

    Hope we can get you fixed up.

    Elias,
    As for debugging, there are dubugging features you can turn on via WordPress’ wp-config.php file. See:

    Another thing to consider is a plugin conflict. So another thing to try is deactivating all non-IgnitionDeck plugins.

    And something else that might be messing up Shortcode functionality is if your license keys on the main settings screens for both IDC and IDCF are not correct. You get the two differnt keys from your IgnitionDeck Dashboard:
    https://ignitiondeck.com/id/dashboard/

    Please double check that as well.

    Hope we can get you fixed up!

    Jackie,
    It sounds like you may have failed to enter all the necessary info in IDC > Gateways: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=idc-gateways

    Or maybe you still need to link your products to levels in IDC > Crowdfunding: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=idc-bridge-settings

    2nd section here:
    https://ignitiondeck.com/id/documentation/ignitiondeck-commerce/crowdfunding/

    Address these possibilities, and let us know if that gets you fixed up.

    Thanks 🙂

    Todd,
    That’s a great idea, although it’s probably not going to be addressed in the immediate future, since the dev team is scrambing to roll out some higher priority features and improvements.

    And you’re right: Differnt themes utilize the info slightly differently. All the more reason why it’d be a bit of a hurtle for us to make useful in-app help text for front end users.

    I suppose you could create your own little tutorial doc and email it out to creaters in the meatime, if it was worth it to you to create such a thing.

    Passing this on.

    Thanks.
