Thanks Scott. Sorry but we had a hotfix today. See this thread: https://ignitiondeck.com/id/forums/thread/beta4-hotfix-1-2112/

The only file changed is ignitiondeck-functions.php

We found an error with our plugin bundle caused by a backup file. Try deleting the file ignitiondeck backup.php (has since been removed from the zip), deactivate, and reactivate. Let me know what that does for you.

Yes, that should work, and you shouldn’t have to delete anything that’s not IgnitionDeck related.

Try that and let me know what happens. Hopefully it’s all fixed for you 🙂

FYI – you will need to create new projects after this happens.

Hm, it sounds like something went wrong during the upgrade process. Are you familiar with PHPMyAdmin? Would you be willing to export a copy of your current installation and send it via email to support@ignitionwp.com?

Do you have another WordPress installation you could test a clean beta4 installation with?

And yes, we’d be happy if you could help with the translation.

Gleglette is correct, you need to save at least one form option in the default settings. Perhaps we could take a look at your WordPress admin and see if we can spot the problem. If that would work for you, send an email to support@ignitionwp.com and we’ll take a peek.

So just to clarify, did you restore the database and then upgrade, or are you still working with the original upgrade?

I apologize for the issues, I know this isn’t an ideal upgrade process. However, now that we have all of the database tables we need, these problems should not occur in future upgrades.

Try deactivating the plugin and reactivating. This should create the necessary tables and allow you to save settings.

Could each of you let me know which version of the beta you are running?

Also, have you upgraded from one version to another? It’s likely a database issue or missing form settings.

Claudio, could you try this with beta4 and let me know if it is resolved?

Does this only happen when selecting a different currency, or does it let you select fields with USD used instead of Euro? Are you currently using a live campaign, or are you starting from scratch?

Thanks for letting us know about this. We haven’t experienced it, but will do our best to fix it for you so you can use the latest beta.

Scott – so far yes, but there’s more in the cards. We’re going to implement some additional Payment methods for those that want to go with the Kickstarter method, but there are issues with doing so. For instance, the Paypal Adaptive Payments API makes that possible, but also makes it possible for project owners to withdraw the money at any time and as you know Amazon is limited to US only.

Hey Christian, we’re looking into the Paypal issue.

It’s possible there’s something keeping the database from being updated. Do you know how to login to the database and look around?

If so, I’d love to see what’s in the ign_customers table as well as the ign_mailchimp_subscription table.

Hey Christan, is your campaign live or just used for testing?

    A few questions in response:

    1. Which version of the beta are you using?
    2. Do you notice anything unique about the orders that aren’t showing up in the admin?
    3. Have you made sure to setup the Mailchimp API key and list ID?
    4. When you say the FB share doesn’t work, is that after a test of your own, or are people sharing and not getting an avatar displayed. Or…is it just not showing the share screen after purchase?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

Do you have a link we could take a look at?

I’d also check the following things:

    1. Make sure all of the fields are complete in the payment settings menu, including a proper paypal email address.
    2. Make sure that you’ve selected at least 1 field in the form settings menu.

Let me know if that doesn’t work.

This is a bug caused by the way we insert the project content into the template file. Because of that, we’ve moved to a new method in beta4, which should fix the issue.

As for linking it, using a URL would work fine. Because it is a custom post type, it won’t automatically create menu links for you. In beta4 forward, you’ll be able to use a shortcode to create a post or page if that makes it easier for you.

Thanks for your feedback, we love hearing suggestions like these.

    1. We talked about that this week. We want to extend this functionality, but not sure it’ll make beta4. However, with the way we’re changing to a shortcode layout, it’s definitely coming soon.

    2. We’ve re-written the localization files in order to use variables and be more efficient with translation. Expect that in beta4 this week.

We’re going to change this in the codebase for beta4, which we’re hoping to have in the next week.

Hey John, thanks for the suggestion. We’ve been looking at this, and it’s on the roadmap to implement as soon as we get some of the more pressing theme issues fixed. It’s a fairly straight forward upgrade though, so look for it somewhere in 1.1-1.3.

Great feedback, let me get to work and see what I can do.

Some of these issues are already fixed and will be addressed in the beta4 release. Others are new, but good finds.

I see your homepage has a widget showing, and when clicked, goes here: http://lesedibooks.villagelifebooks.com/products/lesedi-books-2/

Are you still experiencing the issue?

We’re working on an update to the translation files in order to use a variable based system instead of the current one. We’re hoping to have this ready for beta4 in the next week or so.
